Chase The Joker

“CHASE THE JOKER” DRAW  —  THE RULES

This draw is for Club Members only.

Tickets at £1 each will be on sale from behind the Bar throughout the week.

The weekly prize will be paid in cash on the night. The Jackpot prize will be paid in cash up to a maximum of £1000 on the night. Due to insurance restrictions governing the amount of cash that can be held on the club premises, any wins over £1000 will be paid by cheque on the night or, if preferred, be available for collection in cash after 72 hours.

The draw will take place using the random number generator on Friday evenings between 7.30-9.30pm.

Purchased tickets may be left behind the bar in the box provided. The tickets must have your name, membership number, envelope number you wish opened and your signature. Any tickets found in the box which are unreadable or have information missing will be deemed invalid. Ensuring that the correct information is on the tickets is the sole responsibility of the ticket purchaser prior to being placed in the box.

If the competition progresses to the last 10 cards, the option to leave tickets behind the bar will be suspended. In this instance, the winning ticket holder must be present at the time of the draw to claim the prize.

If the winning ticket was left in the box, the prize must be collected within 7 days and only by the member whose details are on the ticket and on production of their membership card. If the winning ticket holder is present at the draw, they must produce the winning ticket and their membership card when claiming the prize. If the winning ticket is not produced, or left in the box, there will be a single re-draw. If a winning ticket is not produced after the re-draw, then the draw will be closed for that night and the unclaimed prize will go into the Jackpot Fund.

The prize winner will receive a cash prize of 40% of the current week’s ticket sales, and will be entitled to pick one envelope from the remaining unopened envelopes. The chosen envelope must be opened at the time, in the presence of a committee member or organiser of the competition – it cannot be taken away to be opened later.

If the ‘Joker’ is in the envelope, the prize winner will receive the accumulated Jackpot prize held in respect of the competition. There is no guaranteed minimum amount for the Jackpot.

If the competition progresses to the last 4 envelopes, the prize winner will be given the option to accept a cash sum in exchange for NOT opening an envelope. If this option is taken, the competition will be deemed closed and the remaining Jackpot Fund will be the starting amount for the next competition.

When 4 envelopes remain the cash offer will be 20% of the Jackpot value

When 3 envelopes remain the cash offer will be 35% of the Jackpot value

When 2 envelopes remain the cash offer will be 50% of the Jackpot value

The Club Committee reserve the right to suspend the Chase the Joker Draw during weeks when other activities would prevent it from being run properly    (e.g. Christmas & New Year).
