Subsequently, the adjoining house was purchased, and the two were knocked into one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Over the years there have been numerous additions, renovations and re-furbishings which have led to the vibrant club which exists today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Among the more famous former members of the Club is Dr. Horace Maybray King, who from 1965 to 1971, whilst a member of this Club served as the Speaker of the House of Commons.
